Newfoundland Folk Art Mailboxes
These are two mailboxes I discovered along my journeys throughout St. John's, Newfoundland. The top one with the colourful row houses I believe was painted by an artist with the last name Baird. I found other examples of this artist's work in several local shops.
I couldn't resist taking a photo of this one. The middle of the flowers are actual beer caps that have been painted with lovely, bright colours!!! I love this use of recycling and the creative way of individualizing the house number/mailbox. Ingenious I say!!!
