This is year 3 for the Uncommon Common Art Project which happens at this time of year in Kings County, Nova Scotia, Canada. I love that our community asks artists to create outdoor artwork along trails, gardens, highways and private properties. It's truly a wonderful surprise to come across one of these pieces haphazardly or to make a day seeking each piece out by following a map. Valley Arts See & Do Guide Map
If you find yourself traveling through the Eastern part of Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia, Canada, be sure to pick up a map of local artists' studios, galleries and all around great places to visit. Become inspired, chat about art and discover why artists create the type of work they do, and perhaps why this part of the world is the place they decided to set up their creative endeavours. The featured cover art also happens to be one of my very own creations, so of course I am delighted to have this special opportunity and also am very proud to be immersed in such a beautiful and creative part of Nova Scotia surrounded by many talented artists and many valued art patrons!!!!
My work can be found at http://www.lalaandgleen.com/ OR if you happen to be in the neighbourhood of Wolville, NS you check out a few of the fabulous places that carry my work:
Harvest Gallery - Main St., Wolfville
Hat en Kul - Main St., Wolfville
Gaspereau Fibre Shop - Gaspereau River Rd, Gaspereau
Al's Fireside Cafe - Canning, NS
Wolfville Farmers' Market - every Saturday from May until Dec (unless it's raining).
